Helping readers understand their food systems and dining scenes.

My expertise in food began on a family farm around age 11. It carried into the operations management of a farm-to-table grocery startup 10 years later.

After my time in college, I went into restaurant work in New Orleans, Louisiana.

I began chasing food-related stories as a hobby. It quickly became more.

As a garden grunt, online grocer, and service worker, the experience I’ve gained from a life in food helps to inform my current work as a food journalist.

I understand food systems from the ground to the plate. These days, my focus is on telling the stories of international tastemakers and everyday food laborers alike.

While living as a digital nomad, this work has taken me from farms and restaurants across the U.S., Europe, Southeast Asia, and South America.
